Let us know!

Semper Fi standard transformers are rated for maximum load. The actual VA rating of the transformer is higher than the nominal rating.

A 300 watt transformer is rated to handle 300 watts of load on any voltage tap. When a higher voltage tap is utilized the VA rating of the transformer increases proportionally.

Therefore when sizing dimmers, wiring, and other components on the primary (line voltage) side of the transformer, the actual load is probably not the same as the nominal load. For example, utilizing the 15 volt tap will increase the VA rating by approximately 25% (15V/12V = 125%).

VA rating can be minimized when voltage drop is minimized. Follow this guide before running your wire
